History of The Sator Group.
Sator Systems Limited was registered in 1976 as a result of a request by the then GEC group at Stafford.
Two years prior we had completed two very large fire alarm systems which took 18 months to install. By Reliance systems. Which at the time was a GEC subsidiary.
GEC had a problem that the system was so large and complex they struggled to get anyone to service the system or sort out and faults. I was approached to take over the systems on the under taking that I had to be a registered company and carry a full insurance package. This I did and managed the sites for over 27 years to also encompass GEC Meters, GEC Rugby, GEC Weston and the JCB group of companies amongst many others as well as local authority security installations. During this period we expanded as a company and took on board, Intruder Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV.
We had full police and fire accreditation on our systems installed and maintained. And achieved ISO quality certification.
In 2002 one of our customers an Electrical Installations company saddled us with a huge 6 figure debt which was too much for the company to bear. This resulted in having to regroup and start again. The end result is Sator Fire & Security Limited. All through the trials and tribulations over this period many of our suppliers and many of our contacts have been retained.
We are an SSAIB Approved company and accredited for monitored security systems. We have full CHAS accreditation for health and safety for working practices.
We are currently in the process of achieving BAFF accreditation for Fire Alarm Installation & Service
We still like to pride ourselves in offering to go the extra bit and more for our clients with the same ethos we have had from day one and through out keep smiling.
